Interventional Spine, Inc. Appoints Harold A. (Hal) Hurwitz,
Chief Financial Officer

Irvine, CA – April 1, 2008, -- Interventional Spine, Inc., a privately held medical device company exclusively focused on the design, development and marketing of patented PERCUTANEOUS systems to treat lower back pain today announced the appointment of Harold A. (Hal) Hurwitz to the newly created position of Chief Financial Officer, reporting to Walter A. Cuevas, CEO of the Company.

"Hal comes to Interventional Spine with a broad financial background that includes more than 20 years of public accounting experience with Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers), and both public and private company financial management responsibility as CFO, most recently in this capacity with Micro Therapeutics, Inc. (now a division of ev3, Inc.). In addition, he brings leadership experience in human resources and information technology, diversified fund raising and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance." Mr. Cuevas commented. "Our PERCUTANEOUS products and systems are increasingly recognized in the marketplace as unique, efficacious and least invasive options for patients and their physicians. They are also capable of opening new market segments along the continuum of therapy addressing chronic back pain in adults.
